Track your brand's visibility in AI answer engines (AEO)
More buyers now ask an AI answer engine for a vendor shortlist before they search Google. The AI Visibility page in Naffes CRM puts those buyer questions to Perplexity every day and records whether your brand is mentioned, in what position and alongside whom.
Set it up
Open the page
From the Tools section of the sidebar, open AI Visibility (/aeo). If nothing is set up yet, non-admins are asked to contact a workspace admin; setup is admin-only.
Define your brand
Click Start setup. In the Brand step, enter the Brand name, the Name variations an engine might use in Arabic or English, and your Owned domains so citations can be attributed to you.
Add competitors
In Competitors, add up to 50 names with an optional domain. These are the brands your share of voice is measured against.
Write buyer questions
In Prompts, type the questions your buyers really ask, pick from Suggestions, or click Suggest with AI. Then click Save setup.
Scan and watch
Click Scan now beside a prompt for an immediate result, or let the automatic daily scan run on active prompts. Switch the window between the last 7, 30 and 90 days.
Reading the results
| Metric | What it means | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Mention rate | Share of scans where your brand was mentioned | Your headline number; follow the trend, not the daily value |
| Average rank | Your position in the answer when mentioned | First or second place means you are part of the actual recommendation |
| Top competitor | The rival mentioned most across your prompts | Open its answers under Recent answers to see why it gets picked |
| Share of voice | How often each brand shows up in answers | Benchmark against the market, not just last week |
| Sentiment | The tone in which your brand is described | Recurring negative tone is worth a review of what is published about you |
The Prompts table shows each question's Latest result, Mentioned or Not mentioned. A prompt that stays Not mentioned for weeks is the clearest content gap you have.
Prompts that produce useful data
- Phrase questions the way a buyer would: What is the best CRM for small businesses in Saudi Arabia? beats a line about your features.
- Add Arabic versions of your key prompts, since many Gulf buyers ask in Arabic.
- Mix intents: comparisons, questions by industry or city, and questions about a specific problem.
- List every spelling of your name, Arabic and Latin, so a mention is not counted as a miss.
Limits
- Only Perplexity is scanned today; ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Copilot are not queried.
- The platform operator must add the answer-engine key first. Until then, the page shows Answer engine not configured and scans do not run.
- Answers shift from day to day, so judge the 30 or 90-day trend before drawing conclusions.
