Stripe and Naffes CRM: send a Stripe invoice from a deal

If your customers pay through Stripe, Naffes CRM can create a Stripe invoice for a deal's amount straight from the deal, and Stripe emails it with a hosted payment page. Here is exactly what happens, and where the integration stops today.

What the integration does

It is a single action in the deal header menu, Create a Stripe invoice. Once you confirm, Naffes uses your workspace's own Stripe secret key to:

  1. Create a Stripe customer from a linked contact with an email address.
  2. Create a draft invoice and attach the deal amount directly to it in the workspace currency.
  3. Finalize after the line item succeeds, then request email delivery with 14-day payment terms.
  4. Display the hosted invoice link after a successful send.

Amounts are converted to the currency's smallest unit as Stripe expects, including three-decimal currencies such as KWD, BHD and OMR.

Important

Naffes creates the invoice draft first, attaches the deal line directly to its ID, and finalizes it before sending. A failed line item or finalization stops the send. Start in test mode and verify the amount, currency and recipient before using live credentials.

Setup and first invoice

  1. Save the secret key

As an admin, open Marketplace, choose Stripe, click Configure Stripe and paste your Stripe secret key. Start with a test-mode key. Click Save.

  2. Check the key

Click Test connection. Naffes reads your Stripe balance to confirm the key works and shows the result and latency.

  3. Prepare the deal

Open a deal that has an amount and a linked contact with an email. Without an amount the menu item is disabled; without an email Naffes asks you to add one.

  4. Create and send

Open the header menu > Integrations > Create a Stripe invoice. The confirmation shows the amount and recipient; click Create and send. Sending is immediate and cannot be undone from Naffes.

  5. Check the result

Open the hosted invoice from the toast and confirm the line item and amount are there.

Current limits

  • A new Stripe customer every time. Each invoice creates another customer record in Stripe.
  • One-way only. A paid invoice does not mark the deal won or record a payment in Naffes.
  • One line, fixed terms. The invoice carries the deal amount as a single item, with 14-day terms you cannot change in the UI.
  • The webhook secret field does nothing yet. The Stripe settings screen has a Webhook Signing Secret field, but Naffes receives no Stripe events, so filling it in does not bring payment status back.
  • Marketplace plan. Available from the Starter plan.

If what you need is getting paid and having the payment recorded automatically, Naffes invoices can take online payments into your own Tap account, and the payment posts to the invoice when it succeeds. See the Tap Payments integration.

Questions

Questions 4

Does paying the Stripe invoice update the deal?

No. The integration only sends data to Stripe and receives no payment events. Update the deal yourself after checking the payment in Stripe.

How do I verify the invoice amount?

Use a test deal with an explicit amount and currency, then inspect the line and total in Stripe. The integration attaches the line to that invoice and stops sending if item creation or finalization fails.

Which currency is used?

The workspace currency set by an admin in Region and formats, converted to that currency's smallest unit as Stripe requires.

Can I cancel an invoice after sending?

Not from Naffes. The invoice goes out as soon as you confirm; voiding or editing it happens in the Stripe Dashboard.
