Review and export the audit log in Naffes CRM

The Naffes CRM audit log answers who did what, to which record, and when. Read it on screen for a quick check, and export it as CSV when you need the full detail, including the old and new value of every changed field.

Steps

  1. Open the log

Go to Settings → Team & Access → Audit Log. Only workspace admins can open it: the Owner and anyone with the administer workspace permission.

  2. Read the columns

Each row is one event: Timestamp (when), Actor (who, or System for automated changes), Action (create, update or delete) and Resource (which record).

  3. Export the detail

Click Export CSV. The file holds the full trail, with the old and new value of each changed field. The export itself is recorded in the log.

  4. Analyse the file

Open it in Excel or Google Sheets, turn on filters for the header row, and filter by actor, resource or date to find what you are after.

Questions the log answers

QuestionWhere to look
Who changed this deal's amount? In the CSV, filter on the deal and look for the amount among the changed fields to see before and after
Who deleted a contact yesterday?Filter on the delete action, the resource type and the date
What did someone do before leaving?Filter on their name in the actor column, then check their activity page too
Who exported data?Audit log exports are recorded in the log itself

Other trails worth checking

  • The record's own history: every contact, company and deal has a change history visible to anyone who can view that record, which is quicker for questions about a single record.
  • A teammate's activity page: under Users, click View activity next to anyone to see what they created, changed or deleted, plus their active time today, this week and all time with a 14-day trend. Time counts only while the CRM tab is visible.

To limit what each person can change in the first place, see custom roles and hidden fields.

Current limits

  • The screen has no filters and does not show old and new values; that detail is in the CSV only.
  • IP address and browser are not recorded.
  • Sign-in events are not shown in the app, and no email alert is sent for a new sign-in. To protect accounts, turn on two-factor authentication.
