CRM campaigns: relevant audiences and measurement

Choose an audience around a need

Begin with a useful reason to contact people, such as requested information or a step in an active evaluation. Define inclusion and exclusion rules and check opt-outs. Data collected for another purpose should not automatically enter a campaign simply because it is stored in CRM.

Create segments that justify a different message. Dozens of tiny groups receiving identical copy add complexity without relevance. Retain each segment’s definition and extraction time so recipients of a particular version remain identifiable.

Review the message and destination

Give the reader one clear next action and test the link, landing page and form after clicking. Delivery can succeed while the destination fails or displays the wrong language. Inspect the message on a phone, including Arabic text, variables and image alternatives.

For email, verify sender and authentication settings with the provider; for WhatsApp, review the template and current sending rules. Do not assume all sequence and mail tools offer identical actions. Test the functions in your plan before preparing a large campaign.

Connect engagement to an outcome

Separate delivery, opens, clicks and qualified enquiries. Some open signals may be automated, so they should not alone establish individual intent. Link enquiries to source and message where possible, documenting attribution uncertainty.

Use an appropriate follow-up window and inspect examples of people who reached a form without completing it. Improve the value proposition or next step rather than simply increasing message volume. Maintain shared exclusions so campaigns do not send conflicting messages to the same person.
